City of Evansville, Mead Johnson Nutritionals Press Release

EVANSVILLE, IN (March 17, 2005) - Mead Johnson Nutritionals, a world
leader in infant and children’s nutrition, is commemorating its 100th
anniversary by donating $250,000 to the City of Evansville Parks
Foundation to help complete the next phase of the Pigeon Creek Greenway
Passage. Begun in the mid-1990s, the Greenway project will eventually
encircle the city, forming a bicycle/pedestrian path with links to
neighborhoods and parks. The gift, from Mead Johnson and the
Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation, was presented during a ceremony held
March 17, 2005, in Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel’s office.

The company’s donation will make possible the kickoff of construction
for the next leg of the Pigeon Creek Greenway Passage - the Industrial
Corridor. The Industrial Corridor will extend the Greenway Passage for
3.2 miles from the end of the Riverfront Corridor at Casino Aztar to the
end of the Middle Levee Corridor at the mouth of Pigeon Creek at the
Ohio River. The Industrial Corridor is the linking stretch of trail
between the two existing sections of the Greenway Passage. Once the
Industrial Corridor is complete, the Greenway will span from Sunrise
Park to the Heidelbach Canoe Launch for a continuous six and a half-mile
span.

“We are immensely proud of our 100-year heritage, and we want to
commemorate it with a meaningful and lasting gift that will benefit the
entire community for generations to come,” said Mead Johnson President
Stephen W. Golsby. “Supporting the Greenway Passage is an opportunity
for Mead Johnson to thank the Evansville community for their support
over the years.”

The $250,000 donation from Mead Johnson will generate $2.2 million in
matching funds from the Indiana Department of Transportation, according
to Evansville Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel.

“Mead Johnson has helped shape our community for the past 90 years, and
this donation to the Greenway, the largest corporate gift ever to the
Greenway, is yet another example of the important role Mead Johnson
plays in the city of Evansville,” said Mayor Weinzapfel. “Mead Johnson’s
generosity will allow us to complete another portion of the Greenway and
get us closer to our goal of connecting the two existing sections of trail.

“I am glad that Mead Johnson has chosen to invest in the community
through this worthy project,” continued Mayor Weinzapfel. “The Greenway
offers a transportation alternative that promotes healthy living, and
reduces traffic congestion and pollution.”

Founded in New Jersey in 1905, Mead Johnson & Company moved to
Evansville in 1915. Evansville remains the company’s worldwide
headquarters. With over 4,500 employees around the world, the company
markets over 70 products in more than 60 countries in North America,
South America, Europe and Asia.

Mead Johnson Nutritionals is a world leader in nutrition, dedicated to
giving infants and children their best possible start in life. Mead
Johnson & Company is a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb and Company.
