Connections: Will connect with the Pennsy Greenway at Crown Point. This is also a planned secgment of the American Discovery Trail.

Surface: asphalt w/parallel horse trail

Length: 9 miles (7 miles equestrian)

Descrption: This trail will follow the abandoned Pennsylvania Railroad along US231 and connect with the Pennsy Greenway project at Crown Point, which will go to the Illinois state line.

The trail is being developed with the assistance of the Friends of the Veterans Memorial Parkway towards the establishment of the first trail in the United States named in honor of our veterans. I

In addition, seven of the proposed nine miles will have an equestrian trail paralleling the bike/hike path.
