Descrption: The town's extensive greenway system connects all major parks, including the skate park and the popular Splash Island water park, an outdoor amphitheater, and several new perimeter developments. Interesting bridges and other details lend a healthy sense of place and adventure. Many asphalt paths are found where concrete sidewalks might be expected. One segment uses a creatively striped parking lot surface to give trail users their own space. A rescued historic iron truss bridge connects the White Lick Creek Trail to Friendship Gardens.

Town of Plainfield

Future Plans: The Vandalia Rail-Trail will be extended 1 mile to the east (to 900E), and 1 mile to the west of Saratoga Pkwy.  It is also a future section of the cross-state National Road Heritage Trail.
