Length: 5.3 miles

Descrption: Follows former Pennsylvania Railroad line from just south of Greenfield's downtown area to more wooded, rural areas east of the city. Walking distance to downtown, several eateries & other services.  Crosses Brandywine Creek, presumed site of Riley's "old swimmin hole";  parallels Old National Road (US40).

Future Plans: The trail is a part of the planned 150-mile National Road Heritage Trail from Terre Haute to Richmond.  Filling the gap between Greenfield and Cumberland is a pressing need but no plans are yet in place.  A 1-mile connecting trail along Brandywine Creek is also planned.
