Cambridge City / Wayne County

Plans for the NRHT in Wayne County are in the investigative stages.  The town councils of Dublin, Cambridge City, and Centerville have endorsed the trail.  Dublin has an interesting section of corridor cut below the surrounding terrain, while Cambridge City has impressive elevated railbeds.  The trail would pass very near the headquarters of the Indiana National Road Association at the Huddleston Farmhouse on the west side of Cambridge City.  East of East Germantown, the former railroad corridor crosses over to the north side of US 40 and becomes extremely elevated in the area of the Greens Fork River.  Further east, Centerville has plans to build a connector road with parallel bike path on part of the corridor and is well situated for bike and equestrian paths on the remaining portion of the corridor in town.

Open Trail

Currently there are no open trail segments east of Greenfield.
