Description: Very rustic trail through deep woods. Ties are still visible in many places. Several trails branch off and lead to Lake Maxinkuckee, the academy, and other nature trails. The whole area of the campus of Culver Academy is scenic and makes for a great walk or run. Public swimming is offered at the south end, at the city beach.

Directions: MAP Go to 4-way stop light on SR10 in Marshall county, about 10 miles west of US31. (SR17 runs north to Plymouth). Take street, Lakeshore drive, southward around sharp turn to brick building (former RR depot) on left, along lake shore. Park in public parking lot. Trail runs from RR depot eastward about 1/3 mile to next street.
