Bloomington is a very bike and trail-friendly city and features 2 major
rail-trails. Both rail-trails start at Tapp Rd./Country Club Rd. top the
north and intersect near Church Lane and Clear Creek. The Bloomington
Rail-Trail continues southward to Dillman Rd., southwest of SR37. The
1887 Harris Ford Bridge spans Clear Creek at Church Lane just south of
the intersection of the two trails; this impressive bridge was relocated
from Warren County in 2003.
Future Plans: The
B-line trail will bring the trail northward into
downtown Bloomington. There is also hope that the trail will one
day continue southward toward Bedford. The Jackson Creek Trail is under construction.
