Descrption:
This trail project has been around for many years and has experienced
a number of challenges and difficulties because it was a pioneering rail-trail
effort in Indiana. A short rustic trail is open in Claremont. In
Hendricks County, a paved trail project is pending but severely under-funded.
The B&O Trail group would someday like to see the trail reach westward
to Putnam and Parke Counties and the Wabash River, bringing it very close
to Turkey Run and Shades State Parks. However, there has been very
little support for the trail west of Hendricks County.
